If you don’t brush regularly, then a thin layer of bacteria called plaque covers your teeth, and if this plaque thickens, it starts giving off a foul smell. Here are some simple ways to get over this issue of foul smell

A. Mouthwash with Vinegar:

Bacteria usually don’t like to grow in an acidic environment. Vinegar contains a natural acid called acetic acid, so mouthwashing with vinegar will reduce the activity of this bacteria. Add two tablespoons of apple cider vinegar to a glass of water, gargle for at least 30 seconds, spit it out, and then brush your teeth immediately.

B. Oil Pulling

Oil pulling is an ancient Indian technique for oral health and fresh breath.Take a spoon or two of coconut oil, keep it in your mouth for five to ten minutes, and swish the oil in all directions. After five to ten minutes, spit it out and clean your mouth with warm water. When you swish the oil around your mouth, the bacteria get swept away and dissolve in the liquid oil. Coconut oil also has a favorable fatty acid profile containing a high amount of lauric acid, which has antimicrobial properties. You can practice this technique once or twice a week.

C. Hydration

Drink more water, You should know that mouth dryness can also cause bad breath. Saliva in the mouth naturally keeps the mouth clean. Without saliva, bacteria grow very easily. Freshly secreted saliva is the best oral antiseptic.

Saliva contains starch-digesting enzymes that help to digest starch deposits in our teeth, which otherwise will ferment and smell foul. Our mouth dries during sleep, and this is the reason why you feel bad breath when you wake up in the morning. So stay hydrated throughout the day and drink sufficient water.

D. Incorporating Yogurt

Yogurt contains probiotic and lactobacilli enzymes that help to remove foul smell.

Lactobacilli enzymes reduce the effect of odor-causing bacteria. It not only prevents the odor-causing smell of your mouth but also the odor that is generated from the gut. Have a cup of homemade yogurt for breakfast or at least at lunch.

E. Yoga Hygiene:

They used to use twigs of neem tree or babool tree and chew them up to brush their teeth. They would break the twig in two pieces and clean their tongue with it, then throw it out. For everyday use, fresh twigs should be taken. Now we have toothbrushes, but we should use them thoroughly and wash them well with fresh water. What is more important is tongue cleaning.

We should have a tongue cleaner and clean our tongue at night before going to bed and in the morning after rinsing water from our mouth. The tongue cleaner works wonders, and no foul smell remains in your mouth throughout the day. That’s why yoga mentions one more thing: Jiwha moola sodhana. The root of the tongue should be cleaned every day. In the morning, after drinking a glass of water, clean your tongue by rubbing it with two fingers to stimulate salivation.

Put your thumb at the root of your tongue to squeeze out the water, and this is how the whole oral hygiene is maintained in the morning and night. Just the tongue cleaner solves all the problems. and feel fresh breath.
